Cathal Herron

Cathal is a supportive and experienced piano teacher for all ages and levels. He believes that an encouraging and friendly approach creates a better learning environment for the student. Lessons are structured clearly, helping the student step by step towards clear goals.

Cathal studied Music Performance and Composition in Jazz at Trinity Laban Conservatoire in London and received a First Class Honours under scholarship awarded by the South Square Trust Scholarship for Performing Arts.

As a member of the National Youth Jazz Orchestra, Cathal has had wide experience performing and running teaching workshops. Under the National Youth Jazz Orchestra he is also co-leader of the Sherard Road Song Birds Choir, working with AgeUK. Teaching piano in schools and privately, Cathal is an experienced teacher able to accomodate to the needs of each individual student.
