Helen Chenaf studied singing and piano at the Royal College of Music, where she was awarded the Chilver Wilson prize for singing and the Peter Pears Duo Prize. Whilst at the RCM she took roles in opera scenes and participated in masterclasses and concerts with professional groups such as the King’s Singers. She toured as a member of the RCM Chamber Choir and then sang with Surrey Opera and Opera International. Subsequently, she went into secondary music teaching and private tuition in voice, piano and music theory.

For the last ten years, Helen has concentrated on being an accompanist and teacher, whilst providing online Music GCSE lessons to home educated children.

Helen’s areas of interest include French and German song, opera and musical theatre, folk and traditional song, all aspects of voice production and public speaking, as well as acting and movement for singers. She teaches singing and piano at all levels, provides coaching for LAMDA public examinations, and accompaniment for ABRSM and Trinity music exams.

Helen looks forward to meeting new students and guiding them through their own exciting musical journeys!
