Lancelot Beja-Battais
Lancelot Beja-Battais is a French violist based in London. He moved to London in 2013 and studied Music Computing whilst being active in multiple Symphony and Chamber orchestras. Lancelot then achieved a BMus and Master of Arts in Viola Performance from Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance under the tutelage of Rivka Golani with the award of the Leverhulme Trust Scholar and Trinity College London scholar awards.
As a freelance musician, Lancelot has been very active on the orchestral and chamber music scene as a part of different ensembles including Piano trios and String Quartets with performances at venues such as Wigmore Hall, King’s Place, St James Piccadilly and St Mary le Strand. He has also been part of orchestral projects which included multiple World Premières by composers from Britain, Canada and Hungary.
As a teacher, Lancelot has been teaching violin and viola privately and as part of THAMES Music service and Bexleyheath Lighthouse Music academy for multiple years. He has taught a range of students from children to adults with varying skill level.
