Fiona Berry
Fiona Berry studied Intermedia Art at Edinburgh College of Art, University of Edinburgh and The Drawing Year, postgraduate course at the Royal Drawing School in London.
Since graduating she has continued her Art practice in London maintaining a studio at SET woolwich. Her multidisciplinary practice includes drawing, papier-mâché, woodcarving, furniture making, textiles, lost wax casting, painting, collage and video. She has exhibited with London galleries such as OHSH, Peckham, King’s college London’s Curiosity cabinet, 171 Strand and Alice Black Gallery, Fitzrovia.
She has assisted with the install of a public mosaic in Burnham-on-sea, assisted theatre set designers with set builds and scenic painting, supplied workshops alongside academic researchers at the British academy and works for a freelance care agency alongside her work at the conservatoire.
Working in the community has become integral to her practice in creating space for mental and emotional wellbeing and empowerment through making. She strives for a balance in her teaching promoting between skill development, experiment and individual expression.
