Elena Garrido Madrona
Elena is a pianist and soprano hailing from Spain, bringing a wealth of experience and passion to the world of music education. Her musical journey began at the age of 7 in Malaga, Spain, where she embarked on her piano studies. This dedication led her to achieve a Bachelor’s Degree with Honours of the First Class at the Conservatorio Superior of Malaga.
Continuing her musical exploration in Glasgow, Elena completed her Singing Degree with Honours of the First Class and a Masters in Opera at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. Throughout her journey, she had the honour to train with Janice Chapman, a globally recognized voice researcher and singing teacher.
As an educator, Elena's teaching philosophy revolves around creating a motivating and engaging learning environment. She places a strong emphasis on recognizing the unique needs and challenges of each student, encouraging them to practice in a way that brings about tangible progress. Elena affirms, "My top priority is creating a supportive space for students to learn while enjoying their lessons. I aim for ease in playing and singing, developing a solid technique to allow musical expression, and highlighting the joy in music."
Juggling her passion for teaching with a love for performing, Elena has integrated both aspects into her professional journey.
