Painting Flowers in Watercolour (18+ yrs)
Monday 17th February, 18.00 - 21.00 (£38)
In this evening watercolour course, your expert tutor Sophie will show you how to work in a loose and spontaneous way, responding to the texture and colours of flowers. Working from photographs of flowers, the group will paint each flower on a larger-than-life scale. There will be an emphasis on being bold with the composition and colour, allowing yourself to work in a free and creative manner. It will suit all abilities and is a good way to work more freely if you feel you are often too cautious in this medium. If you have your own watercolour brushes that you usually use, please bring them along. Brushes will also be provided. Sophie Knight is an associate member of The Royal Watercolour Society and her work is in the British Museum, the House of Lords, and several high-profile collections. She teaches her watercolour class on Friday afternoons at the Conservatoire.
