Free On Fridays Evening Special - The Swan Ensemble

During term time we host free lunchtime concerts with performances by our tutors and some visiting musicians and singers.

On Friday 14th March we will be hosting The Swan Ensemble featuring Conservatoire tutor Elena Sánchez, for a Free On Fridays Evening Special.

The Swan Ensemble emerged in 2023. Focused on exploring the vast repertoire for strings, often overlooked on concert stages, the ensemble is driven by the belief that every note deserves to be heard.

Their journey, driven by dedication and years of musical education in prestigious schools such as Royal Academy, Guildhall School of Music and Drama, Trinity Laban and Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, is not just about performing — it is about making this music accessible to all.

By sharing their music, the Swan Ensemble aims to spark curiosity and broaden musical horizons, breaking down barriers and inviting everyone to discover the beauty of chamber music.

The Swan Ensemble offers a captivating blend of classical elegance and contemporary innovation. With a repertoire encompassing the refined compositions of the Baroque, Classical, Romantic periods to the daring sounds of contemporary music, the ensemble showcases a diverse range of styles and eras.

They will be playing a diverse range of works including by contemporary Catalan composers and Beethoven.

There will be a retiring collection at the end of the concerts, any gratefully received donations will go straight to the performers.
