Alex McHiggins

Alex has been teaching for over ten years and is passionate about giving students a well rounded education in popular guitar and music. He tutors both acoustic and electric as well as bass guitar. 

After attending The BRIT School, he graduated with a degree in Popular Music Performance and has focused on the style ever since. He believes keeping students engaged relies on the songs they learn to play and the stories they hear, as much as the instrument they are studying.

He currently teaches pupils of all ages and abilities in multiple local schools and has recently seen two of his students graduate from The BRIT School.

Also a regular session recording musician and player, he has performed at UK festivals, including Reading and Leeds, and recorded at the iconic Abbey Road Studios.
