Creative Dance for Kids (6 & 7yrs)

Come along to the Conservatoire for a creative contemporary dance class for young ones! Together we’ll move our bodies and have fun – exploring ideas, improvising, improving our co-ordination and expressing ourselves through movement. Twisting and turning, young dancers will work together to perform simple sequences and develop their own creativity – we’ll use all our energy and all our ideas! Using the activities and ideas we explore during the session, participants will work towards a short piece of movement which they can share informally with each other. If you love to move and want to explore a different approach to dance, this is the perfect short session for you – all levels and abilities welcome!

Emerging from Winter: Dance Day! (7–12yrs)
Tuesday 9th April, 10.00 – 16.00 (£64)
Do you love to dance? Then this workshop is for you! We will explore physical theatre techniques and many forms of dance to create our very own short performance, based on our theme of emerging from winter into the bright sunshine of spring. You will learn skills to help you choreograph your own brilliant dances, and you will learn techniques from around the world. We’ll even have a short sharing at the end of the day. Join us for a day of dance! Please note that this course takes place at the Quaker Meeting House in Blackheath (more details on booking).

Woolwich Dance Space at the Conservatoire (5–8 yrs)

We are so thrilled to have a visit from the brilliant company Woolwich Dance Space – come along to explore dance and movement with expert tutor Svenja! With a holistic, creative and playful approach, participants will find fun ways to express themselves through dance.
