Have you ever picked up a ukulele? Come to the Conservatoire to get started on the right note! Join us on this fun-filled introduction to the instrument, perfect for young musicians who are just starting their musical journey. In this two-hour course you will learn to play your first song and have fun making music with others. Young participants will learn the basics of this beginner-friendly instrument, under the guidance of our fantastic tutors. All levels are welcome! You can bring your own instrument or borrow one of ours for the session. Come along to find out what’s in store for uke and you!

Roundabout: Half Term Taster (4.5 - 7yrs)
Thursday 30th May / Friday 31st May, 10.00 - 12.30 both days (£22)
Roundabout has been running at the Conservatoire for over 30 years! Since 1992 we have been introducing children aged 5-7 to music through this exciting, informative and inclusive year-long course. Are you thinking of signing up? Perhaps you are already on the waiting list? Well then, this two-day taster is perfect for you! Join us for two mornings this half term to explore all the instruments learners discover in their year of Roundabout: strings, flute, piano, brass, percussion and guitar. You'll get time with each instrument, and even try playing in an orchestra. Join us and join the fun!

Krazy Keyboards & Super Synths (8-14 yrs)
Friday 31st May, 10.00 - 12.00 (£29)
Attention all pianists! Introducing the ultimate music creation tool - our keyboard and synth course. Come create sounds and learn your favourite song, learning how to create any type of music you want on keyboard - from jazz and pop, to RnB, to electronic and film music. With expert instruction from an experienced teacher combined with the opportunity to collaborate with other musicians, our program is the perfect way to discover a whole new layer to playing keyboard. We will cover a wide range of topics including sound programming and arranging, as well as ensemble playing and learning songs together. Don’t miss out on the incredible opportunity to enhance your keyboard skills and have a blast this half term! Please note that participants should be at Grade 1 or a similar level to participate in this class.
