Amelia Coyle-Chislett grew up in South London until leaving for the North back in 2001 to study Popular Music and Recording at Salford University.
She has done a number of quirky, fun and interesting jobs along the way, but post studying took an interest in Music Therapy which lead to working as a Care Worker for adults with learning difficulties; a role that she found wonderful, challenging and insightful.
Amelia later returned to her first love and spent a number of years working in Music and Television doing music supervision for ITV, Universal and the across the BBC.
She loves to sing and spent most of her 20s performing at very enjoyable gigs with lovely band members at a number of weddings and casinos across the North West - often enjoying the free food at the end of the night. She was the backing singer for Kristina Myles for a number of years and enjoyed moments such as supporting the Raveonettes at Manchester Academy and performing for the Coronation Street cast staff party. She writes her own music and her claim to fame is that she once had a dance track she co-wrote played in the background of an episode of Emmerdale!
In 2014 Amelia returned to the green streets of South East London and was delighted to be offered the opportunity to become part of the team at The Conservatoire. She is very excited about what we do here and looks forward to all the good things to come.”
